Looking for products for a new generation
of sensors and RF communication systems for Defense, Homeland
Security and the Private sector?
Find out how RST Scientific, Inc. can help you meet your system requirements and system specifications, as well as meet your cost targets:
-
RST Scientific Research, Inc. in coordination with Texas A&M University has implemented a low cost, multi-frequency, compact size antenna system with beam scanning capability under the Phase II SBIR programs sponsored by US Army and USAF.
The new technology offers an excellent potential for developing a new generation of wideband antenna systems that are small in size, low cost, highly efficient, and lightweight for both radar and high data rate communication systems.
RST Scientific Inc. technology innovations include:
A unique, new ultra wideband, low loss phase shifter operating from 2 to 40 GHz (US Patent has been granted, Patent Number 6,987,488). This new beam scan technology will provide solutions to current design issues such as high cost, high DC power dissipation, and size, weight and system complexity. Using our new multi-line phase shifter design, the number of phase shifters and driver circuits are reduced by 8:1 ratio thus providing a significant reduction in cost size and power consumption.
-
Novel ultra wideband planar antenna designs with low cross polarization. These antennas are capable of operating at multi-octave microwave and millimeter-wave frequency ranges.
-
Multi-band T/R modules, completely based on MMIC and MIC circuits.
-
Novel integration techniques of multi-functional active antennas (T/R modules integrated with radiating antennas and phase shifter circuits) resulting in high efficiency but low cost production.
-
On the communication side, we have successfully developed multi-band data- interfaces, multi-channel (six-channel) transceivers and multiplexers capable of wideband data (over 1 Gigabit/s) transmission from X-band to Ka-band.
Company Overview
Founded in 1992, RST Scientific Research, Inc. designs and develops high performance integrated circuits, modules and subsystems for high performance antenna systems for wideband communications and radar applications. Our products such as low loss voltage controlled phase shifters, T/R modules, ultra-wideband antenna arrays, receiver front-ends, diplexers/multiplexers, data interface modules form the key components and subsystems for a new generation of wideband antenna systems that are small in size, more efficient, and lightweight.
